MY STORY
Over the years I have run several 5K’s, 10K’s and a few half marathons. The truth is, I really don’t like to run that much. I have always had an ulterior motive to lose a few pounds or to impress my grandchildren. I have a bad back, a sore hip, achy knees and I struggle to tie my shoes. The good/bad news for me is, I can eat anytime I want and as much as I want.
I was inspired to join the Run For Food team after working with an organization that was devoted to providing food to starving children. I saw firsthand the tremendous need and decided that I could do something to make a difference. My passion has grown every day. I am committed to doing everything in my power to fight this hunger crisis even if it means finding a way to lace up my running shoes and hitting the streets. Please join me!
